"We first got to train with Toni for a private session. I wanted Tequila to try out the AKC Fetch and I needed guidance on the rules and set up of the testing. Happy to say we got our Novice title with her guidance.
I saw that she was offering her AKC CGC classes so we signed up. It was definitely stepping out of my comfort zone since Tequila is a reactive to new dogs & people. One of the test item consists of accepting a friendly stranger and that was a big deal. It turns out the supervised separation test item was something we needed to work on as well.
The 5 weeks of class with Toni went really well & I learned so much about my relationship with Tequila. Toni works really well with all the pups & their owners. She always encouraged us & accessible to answer any questions or concerns.
Week 6 of class was Test Day…Tequila was able to receive her certificate of completion from Kiko’ K9 Academy plus her AKC CGC title. We worked so hard along side all our classmates and I’m so grateful we took Toni’s class to grow and learn together."

"We are very grateful that we found Kiko’s K9 Academy. We were looking to find a class for Hana our almost 5 year old English Labrador Retriever. We adopted Hana when she was 1 so she hadn’t participated in any classes. I’m always cautious in reaching out to businesses that I’m unfamiliar with, but Toni was so patient and kind in answering all of my questions even before her classes opened. Even though we only chatted through social media, I felt confident that Toni was the trainer that we wanted to work with. We happily saw that she opened the CGC class as we knew Hana was capable of passing the test, but knew she (and hubby) might need a little guidance in accomplishing all of the requirements. Toni is so kind, patient, and very encouraging. She has a gentle but firm approach in making sure you fully understood the task. We all looked forward to the weekly classes as it wasn’t “work” but a fun “get together”. Toni also knew that we had another adoptee, Koli, who is a very anxious poi dog. She gave us some training tips and by the end of the session Koli was taking treats from her hand which is so rare! We love Toni (and Jared) so much that we can’t wait to sign up for her next class in January.
